Top 10 Tips for Working in Magaluf 2021

If you’ve never been to Magaluf before but are thinking of booking for this Summer, then take a look at our Top 10 tips for when working in Magaluf for the first time.

Below is a collaborated effort from both our experienced Reps and also our past Ace workers who have already experienced first hand working abroad.

1.FLY OUT EARLY

It’s as simple as first come first served. Magaluf slowly starts coming to life around April/May time so if you’re after grabbing that top job then we advise flying out early.

Our reps can assist with arranging any job trials.

2. HAVE A FEW DAYS TO EXPLORE

It’s important once you land to get your bearings. Magaluf will be your home for the summer so see your reps and get familiar with the resort.

3. PACE YOURSELF

Remember its a WORKING HOLIDAY not a crazy week with your mates – which means… you don’t need to go out every night and spend all your money.

Take it from the veterans, going out every night in the Summer can be more harmful than good. Be sensible to choose your workers parties and nights out.

4. BUDGET YOUR MONEY

Remember your here to save. Whether your saving for Uni or saving for your round the world trip to Thailand budgeting is Key.

Open a bank account and plan to save a little every week. You can open a bank account with your NIE Number and passport.

5. ARRANGE A FEW JOB TRIALS

It’s going to be a long and eventful summer so take your time and find the right job that suits you. Whether you’re looking at gaining experience in a hotel or you quite simply need 5 months abroad of madness working in events it’s your call. Arrange a few jobs trials and see which job suits you best.

6. DON’T GO SWIMMING IN THE SEA AT NIGHT

If you’re looking to lose your phone, money or trainers then, by all means, go skinny dipping on Magaluf beach at night. Unfortunately, the beach at night time can attract many local thieves who prey on the drunk entering the sea.

They wait and watch as you hide your possessions than when your not looking they take your possessions. Don’t do it!

7. STICK TOGETHER

Like any night out we always encourage to stay together. Whether your with that one guy who can’t handle his drink or whether you’ve got lucky and pulled. don’t just leave your friend behind.

We’ve seen far too many sad cases where first-timers wake up on the beach with no money, no phone and often leads to them flying home much earlier than anticipated.

8. STAY HUMBLE

When Working in Magaluf you’ll more often than not find yourself the centre of attention. Sadly for many, this can all too often inflate one’s ego and go straight to their heads. We’ve all been on holidays and had an experience with that loud-mouthed PR, DJ, Bar staff or Dancers. diet be that person.

Remember, you are not famous, you’re not a superstar. You wouldn’t act like that back home. Have the time of your life but stay level.

9. EXPLORE THE ISLAND

Mallorca is beautiful. Plan your days off wisely and explore what the island has to offer. From Palma City Centre to Soller, Caves of Drach, Boat Trips, jet Skis, Shows and much more. Many excursion shops offer workers discount so be sure to do your research. Our worker’s guide for Magaluf should give you some great ideas and tips!

10. WORK HARD PLAY HARD

Our ethos here is you only live once. Magaluf is famous for its nightlife. During peak season Magaluf attracts many headline acts and events which you should be sure to attend. Make memories and enhance your working holiday experience. After all is a working HOLIDAY remember 🙂
