Landing a role as a DJ can seem like the dream job and for some that’s exactly what it is! A venue can live and die by the quality of the DJ with the best filling the dance floor all night long. You will need talent, be able to hold a crowd and build an atmosphere.

Employers will need to know what you can do, so having some experience can really help. This is an important position in any bar or club, so not the easiest of roles to get. Working as a DJ will include.

  • Playing and mixing music.
  • Building a party atmosphere. 
  • Keeping the dance floor full.
  • Sometimes taking requests.

Working Hours

This will depend on the venue, but as a guide, 8pm-4am for bars and 10pm-4am for clubs.

Average Salary

From 60 Euros per shift.
